AFROQUEENS

AfroQueens are a multi diverse female collective specialising in various forms of African dance.

Founded and directed by Olu Alatise in Jan 2018, AfroQueens have already made a mark in the dance and music industry featuring on a campaign with Sports Direct X Adidas Women, Wagamama, appearing in the previous series of BBC 1’s “The Greatest Dancer”and BBC’s 1Xtra Live as well as working with various artists such as Jason Derulo, Steff London, Joeboy, Lethal B, ZieZie, Mr Eazi, FalzDaBahdGuy, Skales and more.

The group is strongly rooted in the foundations of African Dance and aim to be pioneers and cultural preservers of the art form by creative innovation whilst still preserving the culture and its roots and foundations.

THE MOVEMENT

AFROQUEENS is a movement that pioneers and celebrates women in African (Afro) Dance all over the world but not forgetting our Kings too :-)

The company is committed to championing African dance in mainstream, underground and educational spaces with some of our members teaching in secondary and university facilities, partaking in battles and the team featuring in brand campaigns and working with global artists.

African culture and community is at the forefront of everything we do and the famous motto "FOR THE CULTURE"
